Three-story classroom annex with one-story cafeteria and kitchen wing. Program includes classroom types for kindergarten, first and second grades, offices, teacher facilities, student dining and assembly room, commercial kitchen and servery. Steel and concrete fireproof building with brick exterior, central air-conditioning, sprinkler and fire alarm systems and elevator. Building contains 25,000 square feet, plus renovation of existing occupied school. The two wings are expressed with their own volumetric identity, but match the brick and windows of the existing school. Commission awarded by public bid summer 1998 by New York City Construction Authority.
