Williamsburg, Brooklyn A six-story new residential condominium (Lucent) building takes advantage of the new contextual mixed use zoning by deploying a central area with balconies at the street line flanked by setback wings. The zigzagging metal balcony form nestles floor to ceiling glass above an existing one-story brick base used for parking. The dynamic shape, with its implications of infinity and limitless energy, provide a metaphorical expression for the wide-open loft spaces within. Completion: 2007 Budget: $6,000,000
