The Jackson
Long Island City A new 11 story, 60,000 square foot building sits on a trapezoidal site precisely at the intersection of major subway lines below ground. Complex foundations and an unusual footprint configuration obtained the necessary approvals to build adjacent to major public mass transit infrastructure. The 40 residential condominiums comprise various unit sizes and shapes. The base includes retail and a two level indoor garage. The metal panel façade and balconies distinguish this from an uninspiring context, while the massing angles the building toward spectacular skyline views.
