62 Residential Units
This residential condominium loft conversion was a furniture factory
complex from the early 20th century, composed of multiple buildings fronting on two streets formerly joined as a Z-shaped hybrid structure. The project splits the complex into two buildings, and vertically expands them to five floors each, comprising 40 units, nearly each unique. New footings and structure, coupled with bearing walls designated to remain, support this expansive reconfiguration. A new metal panel main facade and a remodeled brick facade on North 4th Street, crowned by a metal panel addition, express the new use with wide areas of glass and new materials.
